Some things need no explanation, they are the result of actions that are incredibly self-destructive and stupid beyond description.

Take, for instance, this email:

Subject: Airport Article in Tribune From July 3 [link to article]

FYI - Kim Hackett called me Friday afternoon to confirm information she had been provided regarding airport ALP recommendations which will be provided to the City Council later this month. She stated she had spoken with a member of the City Council and just wanted to verify the facts. Kim had questions about specific details which I would not confirm.

Also, the recommended alternative will be available July 9th and the more detailed report will be formally considered by Council on July 27th.

Awww jeez. This one is destined to haunt Isaac for the rest of his career here.

Top drawer work, there, Isaac. While you're at it, why not head down to the Herald-Trib and drop a bag of dog crap on Editor Victor Hull's desk? Don't worry, that won't piss the paper off any more than this email will.

Apparently, nobody told you that part of your job might involve interacting with the public, and that it kind of behooves you if that interaction left a positive impact on the public and in the media. Even if nobody told you about that, well, you probably should have been able to intuitively deduce it.

When it comes to basic public information, telling the media to go f**k itself rather than verify a piece of information that you have already given out to others, which is exactly what you are saying that you did here... well, that's probably not the best approach.

Sorry, Isaac, but it now officially sucks to be you.
